Mini Mantles are a study of complex topographies using parametric software and are prototypes of the 789 Mantle surfaces developed throughout the design process. These studies are investigations into responsive topographies that produce novel, ornamental surfaces and effects. These surfaces deal primarily with shallow relief effects derived from techniques such as embossing, gradation, striation, or meshing.
